One out of ten Germans over the age of 60 and one out of three without children want to support a good cause with their estate (FAZ, 17.09.2013). Legacies within a will or a joint estate are exempt from inheritance tax if the Telemann Foundation is taken into account, due to its recognized non-profit status.

There are also other, more positive occasions to do good. Ask your friends and guests to consider the Telemann Foundation for birthdays, anniversaries, silver and golden weddings, farewells, etc. instead of bringing flowers or gifts. The donors have the free choice between endowment and donation, just like you as the initiator. If the donor's full address is stated on the bank transfer, he will receive a donation receipt for amounts over 200 euros. Up to 200 euros, the tax office recognizes the remittance receipt or the computer printout. We will send you a list of the donors so that you can thank them. 

Charity events, especially if they are dedicated to art and culture and how these can be communicated to young people, are often a positive idea for a donation or endowment.
